ROOT CANAL

Endodontics treats and preserves infected teeth to preserve these permanently.

An endodontic treatment includes cleaning the nerve canal to restore health inside the tooth and the adjacent tissue near the apex.

A root can become infected due to e.g. deep caries, cracks in the tooth and root, accidents or even deep periodontal pockets. Here it's important to eliminate the bacteria inside the tooth through systematic irrigation and seal the tooth as tightly as possible to ensure a positive outlook.

Root canal retreatment

Repeating a prior root canal treatment is complex – and yet infected or inflamed teeth can often even be preserved with a prior root canal.

Similar to a root canal, we explore the previously sealed nerve canal Using special methods to remove the filling material and irrigating the tooth, it can often be cleaned down to the apex again, and it is packed with medication to regenerate the apex. Once the tooth is healthy, the root can be filled.
